Winter Roses (A Poem)

Are you in love, or obligated?
The two words are not related

I know he knows, that chill he gets
When the wind blows across the street
I want that heart, though it once was broken
It never skipped a beat

"God gave us memory, that we might have
Sweet roses in December,"
November blooms fill every room
When I quietly remember

How winter brought me a lifeline,
A valentine, his hand in mine
Does that mean it's love, or obligated?
